iMadeAMovie.com Studios Announces its First Green Light with Rancho D’Amour

For Immediate Release

Los Angeles -- iMadeAMovie.com announces its first green lit micro-budget feature; the romantic comedy Rancho D’Amour helmed by director/producer Bill Evashwick.  The movie is slated to begin shooting May 22 on location in Arizona and Los Angeles.  Casting and music selections are still being finalized by iMadeAMovie.com members who are participating in the production of the movie.

Rancho will be shot for $40,000 with a projected release date of August, 1 2010. Associate producer's votes on the cast are currently being tallied.  Audition videos for the various roles can be viewed at iMadeAMovie.com.  Evashwick has produced over 17 Biographies for A&E, numerous specials and series for networks such as the History Channel, Discovery, Court TV, Versus, Discovery Military Channel, Mojo, and others.

Rancho D’Amour centers on Emily, a timid, aspiring romance novelist who gets rejected for a book deal, catches her fiancé in the arms of another woman and loses her job. Looking for an escape, she heads to the falsely advertised, run down “romantic resort” Rancho D’Amour. An unexpected discovery leads to love in the least likely of places and soon Emily finds that romance lives at the Rancho D’Amour.

iMadeAMovie.com’s first outing was made possible by the studio’s innovative financing structure that enables people from all over the world to participate in the process of filmmaking. For a nominal fee of $49.95, anyone with internet access can sign on to become an associate producer on a variety of full length, feature motion pictures. Each member or associate producer of the movie receives a certificate and press release announcing their involvement as a distinguished associate producer of the film, along with a t-shirt and, once the movie is completed, a copy of the movie with their associate producer credit (and only theirs) in the opening credits.

Launched in Spring 2010, iMadeAMovie.com 2.0 has added new engaging features including open casting calls, music auditions, the ability to get walk on roles on the films and more. Purchasing the Associate Producer package, allows members access to the Producers’ Lounge where they can participate in voting on character names, script changes, view dailies and behind the scenes footage and drama from the set. This new approach to filmmaking will provide entertainment to movie enthusiasts around the world while simultaneously fulfilling the dreams of movie makers by financing their projects.
