The process is simple:
Turk is a local who lives near the motel. He’s been helping save people from the zombie horde.
TURK
In a weird way, this horrible plague of zombies has been the best thing to happen to me in years. Back in 2001 I was doing pretty good. I was rodeoing. Riding bulls, and doing well. Finishing in the money, making a name for myself. Even getting some endorsements. Marcy and I got married, bought a little place. Life was good.

Then I had the accident. Got thrown, but my leg got caught up in the rigging. Spiral fracture. Couldn’t ride for months. I got to feeling sorry for myself and started drinking. A lot and a lot of the time. Soon we were out of money, Marcy was out of patience, and then one morning, she was gone. I followed her as far as here. Then my truck broke down, so I shot it. Put six bullets in the engine block, walked a mile from the highway and found a deserted trailer. I moved in and been there ever since.

Then these zombies showed up and, well, I felt like I had a purpose again. The last few days, blowing their heads off, helping people escape, I really felt like my old self. When we finally get out of here, I’m making a new start. I’ve got some plans. I’m going to...
(he notices a bite on his arm)
How about that? One of them musta got me. Didn’t even feel it.
(beat)
Yep. Killing zombies is the only thing that’s made me feel worth a damn since Marcy left. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll wander outside and kill me one more.
